Release Note (January–May 2026)

This article summarizes the changes in Accountflow during the first five months of the year.

New features

Catacloud is now supported as an accounting system

You can connect Catacloud through the company settings. Accountflow will then automatically retrieve the trial balance, transactions, and supporting documentation.

Altinn 3 — new login and updated data retrieval

Login to Altinn now takes place through ID-porten using a national identity number (or another Altinn-approved authentication method). This applies to both VAT return retrieval and A07 payroll reports. In this article, you can read more about how Accountflow handles the transition to Altinn 3.

What changes:

  • A new dialog is displayed when retrieving data, where you select which companies to include.

  • Jointly registered companies are now handled correctly, ensuring that the correct data is retrieved for each organization number.

Altinn status on the dashboard

You can now see directly on the company dashboard when the VAT return and A07 payroll report were last retrieved from Altinn. This gives you a quick overview of which companies are up to date, which are missing the latest period, or where retrieval has failed, without having to open each company individually.

Filter by responsible user in the group overview

In the overview of companies within a company group, you can now filter by responsible user. This feature is especially useful when several colleagues work within the same company group and you want to see which companies you are responsible for without scrolling through the entire list.

Joint registration is displayed more clearly

Jointly registered companies are now clearly marked in the company overview, and we have rebuilt the VAT handling between parent and subsidiary companies to distribute transactions correctly. You can immediately see which companies are jointly registered without having to check the BrĂžnnĂžysund Register Centre.

Settlement of partial lines

You can now settle part of an amount against an offsetting entry without settling the entire line. This makes it easier to handle partial payments, period adjustments, and credit notes that only cover part of an invoice.

Manual entry of opening balances per account

You can now enter opening balances manually for each account. This is intended for situations where automatic retrieval is not possible, such as when changing accounting systems during the year or during a company acquisition.

Improvements

PowerOffice GO — start date retrieved automatically

The PowerOffice GO integration now uses version 2 of the PowerOffice GO API. The start date is retrieved automatically from PowerOffice GO, so you no longer need to set it manually. Previously, there was a risk of deviations if the dates did not match exactly; this has now been eliminated.

SAF-T — uses standard account mapping as a fallback

SAF-T imports now automatically use the standard account mapping if the company has not set up its own mapping. Payroll reconciliation can begin even if the mapping setup has not been completed.

Xledger — more reliable data retrieval

The Xledger integration now retrieves and stores data more reliably. Companies with high transaction volumes will experience fewer stalled jobs.

Duett and Unimicro — improved standard account mapping

The standard account mapping for Duett and Unimicro integrations has been improved. This reduces the number of manual mapping steps when setting up new companies and provides better coverage of chart of accounts variations between companies.

Report packages — faster and more compact PDFs

The reporting engine has been rebuilt from the ground up. PDF reports now feature more compact tables, and report packages are generated faster than before.

VAT reconciliation — fewer false deviations

VAT handling has been improved for PowerOffice GO, Tripletex, Xledger, and Visma Business. This particularly applies to compensation codes, total calculations, and the split between primary and ordinary business activities. The result is fewer deviations that require manual verification.

Withholding tax mappings across periods

The withholding tax mapping has been rebuilt for PowerOffice GO, Tripletex, and Unimicro. “Ghost mappings” from the previous year (for example, period 6 of 2025 mappings appearing in period 1 of 2026) are now automatically removed when a new working year begins.

Users must be assigned to a group when created

It is no longer possible to create a user without selecting a group. This prevents users from ending up in a default group with excessive access rights.

Deactivated users lose their group memberships

When a user is deactivated, their group memberships are removed immediately. If the user is reactivated, groups must be assigned again, ensuring that expired access rights do not automatically return.

Trial balance approval history is now consistent

The approval history for trial balance changes is now displayed consistently in both the interface and the system’s internal processes. You can see who changed what and when, without discrepancies. This is particularly useful for audit trails and when multiple people work on the same company.

Bug fixes

Form persistence during company setup

An issue caused start dates, login details, and other configuration fields not to always be saved on the first attempt. Affected integrations: PowerOffice GO, Tripletex, Visma Business, Visma Business NXT, Visma.net, Xledger, and Catacloud. Fixed.

Visma Business NXT — opening balances retrieved completely

Opening balances for Visma Business NXT companies are now retrieved correctly, including accounts with special configurations in the source system.

Duett — period 13 and duplicate offset accounts

Two issues in the Duett integration have been fixed: transactions in period 13 (year-end closing) are now included in the trial balance, and duplicate entries on account 1599.3 are no longer imported twice.

Opening balances missing for accounts from 1501.1 and above

A filtering issue caused opening balances to be missing for accounts from 1501.1 and higher in some companies. Affected integrations: PowerOffice GO, Visma Business NXT, Duett, Unimicro, and Finago. Fixed.

Trial balance showed amounts on the wrong account after voucher corrections

A voucher corrected from one account to another caused the amount to appear on both accounts in the trial balance. The balance is now shown only on the correct account.

PowerOffice GO — agriculture-specific accounts mapped incorrectly

After the transition to PowerOffice GO API v2, some agriculture-specific account IDs were mapped incorrectly. Balances were posted to the wrong accounts in Accountflow. This has now been corrected so agricultural companies receive the correct balances after the first retrieval.

Tripletex — rare issue during simultaneous trial balance updates

A rare issue could block trial balance updates when two update jobs affected the same company at the same time. Simultaneous updates are now handled correctly for all integrations.

Altinn — users with special roles could not retrieve all messages

An issue in the background retrieval process caused messages belonging to specific Altinn roles to be assigned to the wrong role context. As a result, users with special roles could not retrieve all messages they had access to. This has now been fixed.
