How to add assets to the register

This guide shows how to register assets in the assets register in Accountflow, either manually or by retrieving information from account details.

About the assets register

The register provides an overview of all assets linked to accounts added to the assets template. Here you see an overview of all registered assets, including category, account, acquisition date, and purchase value. You can also add or edit details and attachments for each individual asset.


Step by step: Add asset manually

1. Go to the Register tab

  • Go to Assets under Reconciliation in the menu on the left.

  • Select the Register tab.

  • Click Add asset at the top of the table.

2. Add asset

  • Fill in all mandatory fields in the window that opens:

    • Name

    • Asset category (in the dropdown menu you will see categories you have created earlier)

    • Depreciation frequency

    • Periods to depreciate

    • Base amount

  • Fill in non-mandatory fields if needed.

  • Finish by clicking Save.

💡 You can make changes later by clicking the pencil icon in the Actions column for the relevant asset.
